Jane Shibata is an expert in design and in the beautiful art of caligraphy. She has worked for the City of Los Angeles as a calligrapher and has done contract calligraphy work for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Graphic Arts division. She is a long-time member of the Society for Calligraphy Southern California.
Jane is a charter member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) and is a past president of the Los Angeles chapter of the CPSA.
Generally, meetings are scheduled on the first Saturday of February, April, June, October, and December.
CPSA Los Angeles District Chapter 214 meets five times a year from 10:00 AM to Noon, at St. Cyprian Church located at 4714 Clark Ave., Long Beach, CA.
Meetings are a place to meet others who share your interests and learn from those who have vast experience. At the conclusion of the meetings we routinely offer a raffle where members have a chance to leave the meeting with new art supplies.
If you are interested in our chapter and would like to attend a meeting, we gladly invite you to join us for one meeting as a non-member. All we ask is that you let us know which meeting you would like to attend. Simply fill out the accompanying contact form and let us know when we can expect you. Please note that due to size limitations of our meeting space, we regulate the number of guests at each meeting.
